The inspiration for Hana Lima came from Kumu Mark pondering an age old adage..
"If you find yourself with a whole lot of nothing to do, and are looking for something to do when you're doing a whole lot of nothing..then let's Hana Lima."

"Hana Lima" is a series of instructional albeit entertaining videos hosted and produced by Kumu Hula Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu and MKH Productions showcasing the art of Hawaiian craft-making. In each Hana Lima video segment, Kumu Mark will take you through the construction of various Hawaiian hula implements such as Pahu (Hawaiian drum), Uli uli (rattle), Puniu (knee drum) and many more. Kumu Mark and the Academy of Hawaiian Arts invite you to share in this gift of Hawaiian craft-making?if not for the education, certainly for the entertainment.
